And now comes the official induction into celebrity-dom: being hacked.
The Canadian crooner has contacted the Vancouver Police Department to investigate an unauthorized use of her computer and a possible theft of real risque photos, according to TMZ.
Just last month, Jepsen, 26, diffused drama surrounding possible X-rated leaked snaps circulating the web. And just this week, the pop music newcomer denied rumors of a leaked sex tape, tweeting, “Crazy morning. Discovered that someone put up a sex tape claiming to be me. Ridiculous. Obviously not me.”
But now Jepsen is back in hot water — for real this time.
The seemingly wholesome singer has been aware of the hack since March, when an anonymous source tipper her off that the hacker was peddling her private photos to various media outlets.
Vancouver Police Department officials have confirmed to TMZ that an investigation is currently underway “in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen.”
In fact, law enforcement are already hot on the trail of a potential suspect.
Jepsen is just the latest in a long string of stars who have been hacked.
