One Direction's Louis Tomlinson 'Slightly Deaf' From Screaming Fans
One Direction is greeted by groups of screaming, starstruck fans everywhere they go. But it comes at a price.
The boy band's Louis Tomlinson claims he is suffering from loss of hearing due to the non-stop, high-pitched shrieks from their followers.
"I'm going slight deaf in my right ear," the singer told the Daily Mirror. "It's tinnitus...something like that."
Tomlinson added, "All our fans are always very loud, especially Scousers."
How will the heartthrob prevent further ear drum damage?
Meanwhile, the group is basking in the glory of their MTV Video Music Award nominations -- two nods for their "What Makes You Beautiful" video. And 1D will even hit the stage for the September show."We're really looking forward to the VMAs," Payne told MTV News. "I think performing at the VMAs is such a huge occasion. I think it ranks up there with one of the best performances we'll do so far."
"It's quite nerve-racking as well," he continued, "because obviously there's been so many historical moments and stuff that have happened at the VMAs. Now we want to make a moment ourselves, but who knows?"
