Beyonce Knowles is ready for her close-up.

The Grammy-winning icon is set to direct and star in a new documentary about her life and uber-successful music career, according to a report from the LA Times.

Knowles, 30, is currently shopping around 20 minutes of footage from the movie, which is described as "a mix of music and personal study, blending concert footage with confessional interviews."

If confirmed, this would be just the latest bit of footage from the 30-year-old singer, who in 2011 released a short movie about her four-day concert stint at Roseland Ballroom in New York.

Music documentaries have become somewhat of a trend in the last few years. In July, singer Katy Perry hit the big screen in Katy Perry: Part of Me, while Justin Bieber smashed box-office records with Never Say Never in 2011.

In May, Knowles -- who is still attached to lead Clint Eastwood's remake of A Star Is Born -- performed a three-day concert event in Atlantic City, her first series of performances since she gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter in January.

@daintytoocute! edwards ...what the actual fuck are you talking about???? you do realize that you sound like a complete psycho, don't you? grow up. you're making no sense whatsoever, and you're making yourself sound silly. she needs to die though? correct me if i'm wrong, but that doesn't seem like something that you and your "holier than thou" attitude would be allowed to wish on someone without some kind of consequenses from your god...speaking of whom, has never been proven to be real. i suggest that before you become a full-fledged jesusfreak you read a real book, besides the bible. you know, one based on factual information. you might be surprised to learn that there is in fact more to life than aiming to please some magical sky daddy. and even if you decide not to take my advice...realize that not everyone chooses to live a life of lies and nonsense based on a piece of literature that may not be but probably is fictional. i'm sure you dont like it when people try to force their religious beliefs on you, so have the decency not to do it to anyone else, celebrity or not. it's uncalled for, and people are going to attack your religion in turn, which could be totally avoided if you discontinued your wreckless ass comments.

I think you should go kill yourself. I mean who appointed you to say who deserves to be here or not? Go out and exercise, diet--do whatever you need to do to gain more confidence so you can stop HATING on Beyonce. Then to top it off you called her baby demonic? WTF are you seriously that desperate, lonely, and physically ugly? Nobody told you to follow celebrities that was you decision so shut the hell up and kick rocks.
