Jennifer Lopez's Beau Casper Smart Didn't Visit Gay Peep Show, Says Worker of Neighboring Barbershop (VIDEO)
Jennifer Lopez and boyfriend Casper Smart are fighting back after two celebrity weeklies published cover stories linking the dancer to both an exotic massage parlor and a gay porn shop in New York City.
"These statements are false, malicious and defamatory," the couple's attorneys, Howard Weitzman and Shawn Holley, said in a statement. "Ms. Lopez and Mr. Smart will pursue all remedies available to them under the law."
And after legal letters were fired off to the tabloids, an alibi has come to light.
In a new video, an employee of a neighboring barbershop insists Smart was only on the block to freshen up his 'do.
"He came that day to get a haircut…at our barbershop, located on 39th Street and 8th Avenue," the man explains.
Smart had been snapped outside of a few X-rated storefronts in NYC's Hell's Kitchen just before Lopez's surprise birthday blowout last week. The shots spurred reports from InTouch and Star magazines, both of which ran with "J.Lo Betrayed!" exposes in their issues that hit stands Wednesday.
InTouch reported Smart visited a seedy, appointment-only exotic massage parlor in NYC's Hells Kitchen; Star published that J.Lo's love attended an all-male, gay peepshow located just below the parlor.
“In our barbershop, we don’t currently carry an ATM machine," says the worker. "So he went to the nearest ATM" located at the entrance of peepshow establishment. “They clearly have the ATM sign right here. This ATM is disposable to the public. It’s in the opening.”
After fetching cash out of the ATM, Smart "went back upstairs to pay for his haircut," the worker continues. "That is what really happened. He clearly had no idea that it was a gay porn shop. It doesn’t say it. We hope there are no misunderstandings to the public."
While the worker's account of that afternoon seems to dispel the tabloid reports, there's one sticking point: InTouch's writeup includes a denial from Smart's rep, who insists the dancer was on the block to get a tattoo at a neighboring business.
