Call her the artist formerly known as Lily Allen.

The UK singer is currently working on her third album, which will be released under the name Lily Rose Cooper. The announcement comes one year after the 27-year-old Brit married Sam Cooper in a Gloucestershire, England ceremony.

The singer is following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus, Natalie Portman, Drake and Snoop Dogg -- all of whom have changed their stage names.

Meanwhile, the Lily's follow-up to 2009's It's Not Me, It's You is officially in motion.

In June, the singer posted on Twitter, ""You will be pleased to know that I am currently in the fucking studio with @GregKurstin," a producer who was integral to her It's Not Me, It's You work.

"It's great to work at my own pace, with no commitments other than to make music," said Cooper. "I'm excited to be heading back into the studio," she said in a statement (via Rolling Stone.)

Although Cooper stepped away from her music career for a while, Cooper has managed to stay busy. In that time, she started her own record label, In the Name Of, launched a clothing business, Lucy in Disguise, and gave birth to her first child, Ethel Mary, with husband Sam Cooper.

usually established stars don't take their significant others lst name unless it's to honor a significant wedding anniversary or the memory of that spouse after they've passed away. as for example Joanne Woodward only recently officially took Paul Newman's last name to honor his memory.
