After several months of pre-production, Katie Couric is prepping her entrance into the daytime talk show fold with her new show, Katie. The news veteran shared the first photos of her new set with fans on Friday via Instagram.

She writes, “Big unveiling!! Look at our beautiful studio-can’t thank the #Katie staff & crew enough!!”

Designed by Michael Hottop, the set was unveiled for staff earlier on Friday. It’s designed to be functional for the host and allow her to get personal with the guests, her studio audience and incorporate social media into the show.

What does Couric have planned for her daytime show?

“One of the exciting things for me about doing the show is I’m going to be able to flex all my muscles,” Couric, 55, told reporters during the TCA Press Tour in Beverly Hills this week.

“I pride myself on being able to use the right tone and the right approach and to be able to calibrate that approach depending on who I’m interviewing or the topic that I’m dealing with on any given day,” she continues. “So, I hope that people expect me to have the ability to tackle a lot of different subjects well and from the very, very serious to much more lighthearted feature type stories.”

Katie will broadcast live from New York and debuts on Sept. 10 in syndication – so, check your local listings for the channel in your area.
