The 2012 London Olympics are underway, and America’s obsession with all things shiny and gold is stronger than ever -- especially in Hollywood.

Inspired by the Olympic gold medal, stars like Angelina Jolie, Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry have all stepped out in the stunning color.

For one, The Amazing Spiderman actress Emma Stone slipped into a gorgeous gold Grecian gown to attend the Glamour 2011 Women Of The Year Awards in New York City. The 23-year-old looked stunning in the floor-length silk Lanvin ensemble, which showed just the right amount of leg.

Jennifer Lawrence, 21, stunned at The Hunger Games premiere back in March, arriving in a show-stopping gold gown from Prabal Gurung’s fall 2012 collection.

The beauty turned heads as she walked the red carpet in the shimmering metallic gold gown, with cut-out sides and a train.

Singer Taylor Swift was a vision in gold when she donned a glittery gold Reem Acra gown at the 2011 American Music Awards.

The 21-year-old crooner sparkled in the sexy ensemble and really went for the gold, taking home the night's most coveted award for artist of the year. She also won the awards for favorite country album and favorite country female artist.
