Olympics 2012: Best and Worst Moments

It's been a busy first week of competition for Team USA at the 2012 London Olympics, filled with tears -- both happy and sad -- memorable moments and a whole lot of medals.

Already, we've seen many of the United States' finest enter the history books. Among them: Michael Phelps, who this week became the most-decorated Olympian of all time, and 16-year-old Gabby Douglas, who became the first American to win Gold in the Team and All-Around competitions.

Of course, as is the case at all Olympic Games, not every athlete makes it to the podium.

Just ask Team USA's men's gymnastics team, whose disastrous performance in the team finals left them in fifth place, well off the podium they were expected to stand on.

What else went down this week?
