Russell Brand Sports New Religious Tattoo (PHOTOS)
Russell Brand is making his recovery from drug addiction a permanent fixture: the actor just got a religious passage often recited in Alcoholics Anonymous tattooed on his arm.
The British lothario, 37, showed off his new ink which reads "Lord, make me a channel of thy peace" as he walked barefoot in Los Angeles over the weekend.
His artwork comes in the wake of news he is to appear on a BBC documentary detailing his dark past.
What shocking revelations will he make in the TV special?
Brand -- who has been sober for 10 years -- will be seen watching videos of himself smoking crack in a dingy apartment in London
And most shockingly, in the documentary called Russell Brand: From Addiction to Recovery, he admits to a friend that he misses being junkie.
"This is when you know it's a disease," he says. "It doesn't matter that I sat in that flat in Hackney and now I'm in the Savoy. I'm jealous of me then. It doesn't make a difference to me. The money, the fame, the power, the sex, the women -- none of it," he says. "I'd rather be a drug addict."
