Ryan Lochte’s Grandmother on His Potential Reality Show: I Don't Think He'll Do It (EXCLUSIVE)
Ryan Lochte may have two gold medals, but if it were up to his grandmother he won’t have his own reality show.
According to the 28-year-old’s agent, producers are vying for the Olympic golden boy to be on a reality show, but grandma knows best. He may say “jeah”, but she says no.
“I hope not,” 89-year-old Doris Lochte told Celebuzz exclusively.
What does she say about her athletic grandson?
“I don’t like reality shows. I guess I’m old-fashioned.”
The diamond grill-wearing swimmer ‘s agent Erika Wright reportedly said “two different reality show concepts have been offered and one additional is being discussed.”
“I heard about that,” admitted Doris. “I’m against it, but that’s his business -- whatever he wants to do. But I don’t think he’d want to do that.”
According to his grandmother, Ryan has his sights set on the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro – which won’t leave much room for a starring role out of the pool and in front of the camera.
“He’s not writing Rio out of his mind either. He likes to race, swim and have fun.
“Until he gets tired he won’t give it up,” she added.
“He’s going to be too busy for a show. I think a show would take up too much of his time.”
On a more personal note, Ryan has recently revealed that he wants someone with whom he can share his new-found fame. He reportedly said, “I definitely want a relationship. I want to give a certain someone my heart.”
And his grandmother knows the perfect girl for him.
“He wants a nice, quiet girl,” Doris said. “He’s too laid back.
“He belongs to a family that loves family and children, so I’m sure he’ll have one of his own one day.”
Doris added her handsome grandson won’t have a problem finding "the one."
“I’m sure someone as good looking as he is, girls would fall for him,” she said.
“If I was a young girl, I’d fall for him.”
