Kim Kardashian Sex Tape: 'Kris Jenner Had Nothing to Do With the Deal,' Says Distributor
Kim Kardashian made a name for herself, among other things, with her now-infamous sex tape with then-boyfriend, R&B singer Ray J.
But while she is most certainly the mastermind behind the family's multimillion-dollar branded empire, Jenner had no hand in Kardashian's X-rated clip, according to Vivid Entertainment, the company that released the reality star's video in 2007.
Amidst swirling rumors, the company is setting the record straight with an exclusive statement to Celebuzz.
"Every so often someone comes out with a bogus story about Kim's sex tape," Steven Hirsch, founder and co-CEO of Vivid Entertainment, told Celebuzz.
"Let me be perfectly clear," he continued.
"Kris Jenner had absolutely nothing to do with the deal and ultimate distribution of Kim Kardashian, Superstar. To suggest anything different is both ridiculous and irresponsible, period."
Hirsh's statement refuted the RadarOnline reports, which quoted an anonymous source saying, "Kris was totally involved in arranging the sale of Kim's tape.... Kris was there every step of the way as a middleman brought in to market it to an adult entertainment company."
Past allegations of Jenner's orchestrating the sex tape deal have been met with complete denials from the Kardashian claim.
After a rep called such claims "100 percent not true," Kim's younger sister Khloe Kardashian slammed the report, saying: "That is just disgusting and disturbing."
