Theaters are about to see a whole lot of action as two highly anticipated films go head to head for box office dominance Friday.

In one corner, the latest installment from a beloved action franchise — The Bourne Legacy — hits cinemas with a new lead.

Meanwhile, Will Ferrell and Zach Galifiankis hopes to draw audience with their political comedy, The Campaign.

So who can really dethrone the current three-week box office champ, The Dark Knight Rises? Celebuzz is breaking down the week’s newest movie releases.

Starring The AvengersJeremy Renner, The Bourne Legacy is the fourth movie in the Bourne series made famous by Matt Damon. Though the Oscar winner won’t be appearing in this installment — aside from a few wanted snapshots as evident in the trailer — the movie will still have as much of a punch thanks to screenwriter Tony Gilroy‘s continuing work in the Bourne saga.

“It wasn%u2019t a master plan,” Giltroy tells Celebuzz of his involvement in the fourth film. %u201CIt wasn%u2019t something I ever thought I would ever do. It only came about because the idea really came into focus.%u201D

However, Ferrell and Galifiankis are doing a little bit of “fighting” of their own in The Campaign. Playing dueling politicians Cam Brady and Marty Huggins respectively, the comedians are in a battle of the wits as they try to win votes to represent their North Carolina district in the United States House of Representatives.

So which movie are you heading out to see this weekend? Watch The Campaign’s trailer below, then sound off in the comments.
