Hilary Duff fans, celebrate! You may soon be able to see the Lizzie McGuire star back on television soon.

A 20th Century Fox Television spokesperson confirms to Celebuzz that it has made a one-year talent and development deal with the 24-year-old.

What are the details of the deal?

According to Deadline, which broke the story, the main purpose of the deal is to develop a 30-minute comedy with Duff as its star and a producer. It also reserves the option to cast her in another series if hers doesn’t move on to series at a network.

Since Lizzie McGuire ended in 2004, Duff has made several TV guest appearances including The CW’s Gossip Girl, NBC’s Community and Law & Order: SVU. She has also starred in the TV movie, Beauty & the Briefcase.

Her films include A Cinderella Story, Material Girls and Stay Cool.

The actress is married to hockey player Mike Comrie and gave birth to their first child, son Luca Cruz Comrie, in March of this year.

This news also follows reports that fellow ex-Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus has signed on to a multiple episode arc on CBS' Two and a Half Men.

Well I hope its not too teenie bopper. Never found her to have comedic timing so will wait to see what they come with. Not holding my breath but hey I culd be surprised.. All networks are getting desperate. Enough of reality TV
