VH1 Pulls 'Ev & Ocho' From Schedule After Alleged Domestic Assault
Marriage may not be what Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada and Dancing With the Stars alum and footballer Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson thought it would be as reports came in over the weekend of an alleged domestic assault and VH1 is pulling away from their upcoming reality series, Ev & Ocho.
"Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series Ev & Ocho from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it," the network said in a statement on Monday.
The series was originally slated to premiere on September 3. It would document the couple preparing for their wedding, including a two-part finale episode focusing on the nuptials themselves.
Johnson was also cut from the Miami Dolphins following the incident. The NFL wide receiver most recently played for the New England Patriots. Ever the tweeter, his timeline has been quiet since the weekend's events.
Lozada and Johnson were married on July 4 in St. Martin after an engagement which began in 2010. Johnson proposed to Lozada just fourth months after he met the Basketball Wives star on twitter with a massive 10-carat rock.
