'The Glee Project' Finale Preview: Sizing Up the Final 3 (PHOTOS & VIDEO)
The final episode of The Glee Project Season 2 is shaping up to be quite the celebration! Not only will someone be crowned a winner and receive a seven-episode stint on Glee (obviously), but old favorites and other familiar faces return for one final hurrah.
Who do you think will take home the top prize?
All of the past season two Glee Project contenders are back (minus Taryn, who quit the show of her own accord) to be featured extras in the final music video assignment, "Tonight, Tonight," which features a prom theme and a special guest spot from last year's winner, Damian McGinty.
But additionally, Glee's own Chris Colfer is the special guest mentor for the final challenge, "Glee-ality." The Glee writing staff and previous mentors like Amber Riley, Darren Criss, and last year's other winner Samuel Larsen will also be popping up to study the competition one more time.
The final three contenders left in the running are Blake Jenner, Ali Stroker, and Aylin Bayramoglu.
Jenner is 19 and from Miami originally but has been living in Los Angeles, pursuing his ultimate goal of acting. He has won points in the competition from his fellow contenders and from the judges for his likeability factor, but he recently stretched himself to prove he could play the bad boy, too. Fun fact: Jenner starred in and also produced a short film about a man whose piano turns into a beautiful woman, only for his eyes, embarking on a "sensuous relationship between man and instrument."
Stroker is 25 and from New York City, where she has been acting and singing for most of her life. She has been the most consistently upbeat contender in this competition, and her big vocals match her big, excited eyes. She proved she could push herself in the "one take" music video where she was tasked with tossing the basketball into the net, over her shoulder and behind her, all while sitting in her wheelchair, after the end of an exhausting two-minute performance. Fun fact: Stroker is the most traditionally trained of the final three, having graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, concentration in drama.
Bayramoglu is 20 and from Chicago. Portrayed initially as the "flirt," Bayramoglu has showed more range than that as the competition went on, tapping into an emotional side when considering roles she will be given may require her to wear more traditional Muslim garb. Fun fact: Bayramoglu previously auditioned for the first season of The Glee Project but didn't make it past the third round of auditions. The Glee Project airs on Oxygen on Tuesday nights at 10 PM. Watch a sneak peek above and the finale music video below.
