'The Good Wife' Star Alan Cumming Fires Back Again About Lady Gaga's Fur Comment

Gaga Fur La La: WHAT GOT 'THE GOOD WIFE' STAR FUMING?

A star of CBS' hit primetime drama The Good Wife is taking aim at pop star Lady Gaga, claiming she is putting fashion before being transparent with her legions of fans.

Alan Cumming, 47, took to Twitter on August 14 to slam Gaga’s recent comment about donning a fur coat. Thumbing her nose at critics and PETA, Gaga tweeted the designer's name in response to being photographed wearing her latest fur coat.

Cumming responded, on Tuesday: “Really @ladygaga? Giving Hermes a shout out is more important than being open with your fans?!”

What got the actor who plays 'Eli Gold' on The Good Wife riled up?

"For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don't forget to credit the designer HERMES. Thank You! LOVE, gaga," the 26-year-old Tweeted.

Earlier this week, Cumming expressed even more disappointment with this jibe at the five-time Grammy Awards winner: "I'm so disappointed to learn @ladygaga wears fur! Guess she doesn't love all little monsters."

Fueling the criticism, 26-year-old Gaga was recently snapped holding her cute little dog and wearing a fur coat as she left a hotel in Europe, leaving PETA up in arms over her choice of attire.

PETA even posted a statement on its website titled “Lady Gaga: Monster to Animals?”

In it, the organization posted a photo of a fluffy white bunny rabbit alongside a gruesome photo of a bloodied rabbit with the words emblazoned across the top “HEY LADY GAGA, BORN THIS WAY, DIED THIS WAY, DON’T BUY FUR" -- garnering almost 2,000 comments.

The animal activist organization’s senior vice president, Dan Matthews, also wrote the sexy singer a letter posted on its website, citing what the songstress apparently told Ellen DeGeneres about wearing fur in 2009:

“Many of your gay fans, I among them, have long admired what you told Ellen: ‘I hate fur and I don't wear fur’…What happened? Are your stylists telling you that it's fake, or are you a turncoat?” Matthews wrote.

“Many gays are animal advocates because we recognize that the same arrogance and indifference that some have toward animal suffering has at times been directed toward us personally because of our orientation. But by wearing those dumb furs in a heat wave, you're making yourself a target... As we plan our fall campaigns, please tell us whether what you gracefully told Ellen was heartfelt or just a pose.”

I agree...these people should be out picketing abortion clinics instead of worrying about someone wearing a fur coat, leather shoes, leather gloves, leather wallet, purse, etc. Would they kill their own baby to save a cat? Probably.

Since when do you get fur from an egg?

We will spend tons of money and time talking about how wrong it is to wear fur and that we need to protect the poor defenseless animals - but this same organization supports the killing of unborn babies. There's something wrong with the morals of those that think we should protect an egg that has not been hatched - but it's okay to kill an unborn baby.
