'The Voice' Season 3 Preview: One Brave Soul Takes on Christina Aguilera's 'Ain't No Other Man' (VIDEO)
NBC is gearing up for its Sept. 10 premiere of The Voice’s second season. And on Thursday, it released the first look at the return with a new extended trailer.
The trailer touts the show’s most distinctive elements: The competition between the coaches, the blind rounds and the red button frenzy to snatch up talented performers.
But, what's new on Season 3?
The first look trailer follows Sunday’s announcement that the series is making a couple changes next season – introducing the “steal” option for coaches and one more elimination round.
But as the only singing competition with an Emmy nomination this year, they still want to make sure that the parts that work are still there and there’s plenty of them as you’ll see in the trailer.
One of the most exciting parts of the clip is when a performer decides to sing coach Christina Aguilera’s 2006 hit “Ain’t No Other Man.” Will the pop megastar appreciate the performance?
Here’s a hint from Sunday’s press conference. “I'm not here to knock down talent,” the 31-year-old said.
“I think because we all come from the experience of being in this business,” the Star Search alum added. “And me in particular, I mean, I tell them all the time I grew up in talent competitions myself.”
Watch the new trailer above and see how Aguilera reacts to the performance of her hit.
The Voice Season 3 debuts Monday, Sept. 10 at 8 PM on NBC.
