'The Expendables 2' Premiere: Ryan Lochte Among Olympians to Invade Black Carpet (PHOTOS)
If you thought The Expendables 2 had a lot of stars, wait until you see how many Olympians were on hand for the premiere of the action-packed sequel in Hollywood on Wednesday Night.
In addition to USA athletes, stars of the film including Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Charisma Carpenter were at Grauman’s Chinese Theater for the premiere of the intense flick. Both Stallone and Schwarznegger attended with their respective families, while Crews attended with his wife Rebecca King-Crews.
Which Olympians came to the premiere?
On a Hollywood blitz, Ryan Lochte, who often watches action-packed movies with his dog Carter, was just one of the gold medalists on the red carpet. Other American gold medal Olympians in attendance included swimmer Conor Dwyer, water polo player Jessica Steffens and women’s indoor volleyball team member Danielle Scott-Aruba.
The over-the-top action sequel also stars Liam Hemsworth, Bruce Willis, Jean Claude Van Damme, Jet Li, Chuck Norris and Randy Couture. In the flick, the Expendables are reunited when Mr. Church asks them to take on what they think is an easy job. Of course, things don’t go as planned -- and the crew has to get their revenge in a place that’s less than friendly. Cue the explosions!
The Expendables 2 opens nationwide on Friday.
