'Glee' Stars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith Make Their Official Couple Debut at the Do Something Awards (PHOTOS)
Looks like there's no hiding it now. Lea Michele and her beau Cory Monteith made their first red carpet appearance as a couple Sunday night at the Do Something Awards.
The real-life Glee couple made quite the debut, posing for photos and looking affectionately toward one another on the carpet. Michele, 25, wore a striking Armani low-cut dress, while Monteith, 30, kept things simple in a button-down shirt, tie, vest and jeans.
But did they take home the coveted Do Something award?
Both stars were big winners Sunday night and walked away with their own individual Do Something trophies. Michele scored the award for TV Star: Female, while Monteith took home the TV Star: Male honors.
And if there were any doubts about the Glee couple's relationship, the two were reportedly canoodling in their seats.
Michele and her beau may be happy off-screen, but the pair's on-screen personas -- Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson -- are in for a bit of heartache when Glee returns for its fourth season on Thurs., Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. ET. With Rachel at NYADA, Finchel's future is up in the air, especially with new boy Brody (Dean Geyer) in the mix.
“Rachel, in the first few episodes, is really always thinking about Finn. She is all about Finn. That’s where her head is at,” Michele recently told E! Online. “And this guy Brody just kind of keeps sort of popping up a little bit. He’s interested, so we’ll see where it goes.”
But Rachel and Finn’s future as a couple isn’t the only relationship in danger this season. TV Line recently chatted with Glee executive producer Brad Falchuk, who revealed that none of Glee couples are safe in Season 4. “All of the core relationships are tested,” he said, previewing the fourth episode in the season, titled “The Break-Up.”
He added: “I’m not going to say who breaks up and who doesn’t, but they all — Santana/Brittany, Kurt/Blaine, Will/Emma, Rachel/Finn — get kicked in the nuts. And it’s all about how do they recover — and can they recover? And some don’t. Absolutely some don’t. Of those couples, not all of them are going to make it. It’s like Titanic.”
The 2012 Do Something Awards will air on Tues., Aug. 21 at 9 p.m. on VH1.
