Rosie O'Donnell suffered a heart attack last week, the comedian-actress revealed Monday on her personal website.

In an emotional poem titled 'My Heart Attack,' O'Donnell, 50, said the incident occurred a few hours after she helped an "enormous woman" get out of her car, in Nyack, New York.

"A few hours later my body hurt," she wrote. "I had an ache in my chest. Both my arms were sore; everything felt bruised."

O'Donnell went on to write that she did not call 911, but took a Bayer instead.

"Thank god," she wrote. "Saved by a TV commercial -- literally."

The next day, O'Donnell went to her cardiologist, during which she discovered that her LAD was 99 percent blocked.

"They call this type of heart attack the Widow maker. I am lucky to be here," she wrote, before urging all women to call 911, should they ever find themselves in a similar situation.
