Spencer and Aria vs. Noel and Jenna in an epic truth or dare.
Tuesday’s penultimate episode of season 3A of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars is called “Single Fright Female,” which in the case of our Liars means they should be watching out for a crazy chick. No, we don’t mean Mona (Janel Parrish). In this case, that person is Paige (Lindsay Shaw). The swimmer and current girlfriend of Emily (Shay Mitchell) has some major secrets or should we say lies of her own.

Assuming the title is a take on the 1992 Bridget Fonda movie, Single White Female, in which a woman freakily attempts to take over her roommate’s life, looks and all, one’s imagination can run wild with the possibilities of what kind of relationship Paige and Allison (Sasha Pieterse) may have held.

Of course, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) is first on the case. In an interview with Celebuzz, Bellisario told us, “That’s the way Spencer is. She’s always got to uncover certain mysteries. She finds something out about Paige that Emily certainly wasn’t aware of. It forms a schism between Emily and Spencer for a while.”

What could be so bad it would cause a rift between Em and Spence?

Apparently “Allison and that wench had it out for each other” CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray) spills to Spencer. She also tells her Ali’s nickname for Paige was “pigskin.”

With the press release for the episode indicating a “violent past” and a “blood fued” between Paige and Allison, things aren’t looking good for the future of Emily’s relationship.

Unable to tease us further about what this fued may entail, Bellisario only said “What I can tell you is that there are a lot of characters in Rosewood that we haven’t really explored their histories… their histories with Ali. While we were all kind of going through our relationships with Ali, she had her own very special relationship with Ali, that definitely was not a good one. “

Emily, however, doesn’t want to hear it. After all why should we believe what CeCe has to say? Though, we definitely do. In fact, we’re firmly leaning towards Spencer’s side in the argument as it is quite odd Paige has never once mentioned Allison to Em. And as Spence says in the preview above “Let’s not forget this girl once tried to drown you.” We certainly haven’t forgotten that.

According to this Canadian promo for the episode, we even see Jenna (Tammin Sursok) warning Emily to be careful of whom she spends time with. Spencer sure seems convinced that Emily’s girlfriend is on the A team. The question is are you?

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays at 8 PM on ABC Family.
