'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' (Finally) Casts Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair (INFOGRAPHIC)

Alas, Finnick has arrived.

After weeks of speculation, Lionsgate has officially announced that Sam Claflin is set to star as Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The ever charismatic and clever District 4 tribute teams up with Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), among others, in a bid to survive the 75th Annual Hunger Games, or Quarter Quell.

Claflin previously hit the big screen in Snow White and the Huntsman and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

With filming of the blockbuster sequel scheduled to start in September, the 'Catching Fire' cast has been filling up feverishly over the past few weeks.

Last week, Stephanie Leigh was tapped as District 1 tribute Cashmere, and Maria Howell was cast as Seeder, a District 11 victor.

The week prior, four cast slots were filled. E. Roger Mitchell will star as Chaff, Seeder’s fellow District 11 tribute, while Smallville actor Alan Ritchson was named as Gloss, a former Career tribute from District 1. If that wasn’t enough, Bruno Gunn will star as muscle man Brutus, a former District 2 victor who returns to the arena.

Also cast was Meta Golding, who will play fierce golden-fanged Enobaria, the other District 2 tribute who is known for the brutal way she came to win the Games.

The newcomers join returning principals Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy), Lenny Kravtiz (Cinna) and Stanley Tucci (Caesar Flickerman).

The Francis Lawrence-helmed Hunger Games sequel, a Lionsgate production based on the second book in the Suzanne Collins trilogy, is expected to start shooting next month and is due in theaters November 22, 2013.

The story sees Katniss and Peeta returning home victorious after winning the gladiatorial games, only to be called back into action.

Unlike Twilight, Hunger Games actually has meaning and a message. This could be our society if the future if we aren't careful. Also, Katniss is sort of a role model to tweens and up. She shows confidence, strength, and courage. Its not just some stupid book series like Twilight where Bella just does nothing but let a werewolf and a vampire fight over her and let the vampire get her pregnant.

I think they hit the nail on the head with this one. I saw Amanda Plummer play a severely schizophrenic woman on Law & Order:SVU, and I don't mean it as an insult when I say: she can play crazy REALLY well.

Jeffrey Wright is playing Beetee, not Tony Shalhoub. Check imdb.

WOOW!! I am simply lnovig these new Kate interviews. She is so happy, kind humorous and relaxed. I love to hear her laugh!!Moments Of Pleasure . Oh God! I actually love this version even more than the original (which I love as well ). I love her singing style in this, it feels kind of free , personal and intimate . I was first shocked to hear she has taken away the chorus, but i guess it makes sense just being alive probably doesn't hurt anymore as much as it did then and the choir instead of the chorus is actually perfect Reminds me a bit of Hello Earth Thanks again!

I'll see if I can get an RSS feed that will work for Dreamwidth (though isn't DW able to import fenrids from LJ? I'll have to investigate if two RSS feeds are necessary). Right now I'm not even certain that the LJ RSS feed is set up correctly It appears to be ignoring any updates made in the last 24 hours. I know there's sometimes a lag, but this is suspicious. In the meantime, you can follow the site from Facebook to get the updates as they occur!

When I saw the cute one-pieces (that didn't resemble Ellen's brown p.o.s.) I was exeticd.Caprina: you and I feel exactly the same about ourselves. I went over to Target.com and found some cute suits with shirring . It's that bunchy stuff in the middle? Anyway, I think they are gonna be cute (who knows though, I may get there and do myself in in the dressing room).Anyway, before I read this article today, I always thought of a one-piece as something girls had to wear when they weren't hot anymore, or when they were too old for a bikini. As of today, I will rock the one-piece, and seriously fake it til I make it when I show myself in it.I have to go to Vegas in 5 weeks, so I need a new bathing suit fast. I don't care what little girls in bikinis I see, I will wear it like it was my FIRST CHOICE, not the alternative because I don't think I'm hot enough for a two piece (they don't need to know I'm not!)We can fake it together Get that one-piece! 0

'Alas' does not mean 'at last'. It means 'unfortunately'. How does this writer even get hired?
