We can already tell from the sneak peeks that new The X Factor judge Britney Spears has no problem saying exactly how she feels.

And when it comes to contestants auditioning with her songs on the upcoming season, she’s keeping it real.

"It was flattering that they would try to do my songs,” Spears, 30, told TV Guide Magazine. “But most of them weren't really that great." Ouch.

What does newbie judge Demi Lovato have to say about the job?

"I really feel like being the first young judge on any of these vocal competition shows is a lot of pressure,” the 20-year-old actress and singer said. “But at the same time, it's great because I get to bring in a perspective from the audience that's around my age."

Fans were shocked when executive producer and judge Simon Cowell fired first season judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger along with host Steve Jones in January. But, returning judge L.A. Reid thinks Lovato and Spears fit the bill.

"I think Simon really nailed it,” the 56-year-old record producer tells the magazine. “In the time I've spent with both Britney and Demi, I'm impressed with their ability to really identify greatness and talent."

The X Factor returns Wednesday, Sept. 12 on FOX.

Britney Spears commenting on someone's SINGING? HA HA HA HA. She's as delusional as Madonna. BRITNEY. You have a speech/singing impediment. You don't "sing." You have no grasp of pitch. You have a horrific vocal tone. You have no business singing. NONE. JUDGING singing? Wow. Surely her hiring is meant as irony... much like the hiring of Paula Abdul so long ago... "WE need a train wreck who can't sing on OUR show!"
