One Direction’s New Single ‘Live While We’re Young’ Gets Release Date
The British boy band will take a page out of Drake’s Y.O.L.O. handbook and release their new track, “Live While We’re Young,” on Oct. 1. The song will be the first single off their forthcoming sophomore album. 1D fans, don’t fret: the boys’ — Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan — signature sound is still pure pop perfection.
Columbia records describes the track as an “energy packed song, mixing rock undertones with smooth harmonies, about living for the moment.”
What else can you expect from One Direction’s new album?
1D’s eagerly awaited second album is due for release in November 2012. The record will see the pop band collaborate with some of music’s biggest names. From former collaborators Ed Sheeran and McFly’s Tom Fletcher to superstar producers Dr Luke, Shellback and songwriter Toby Gad, the album is sure to be yet another smash hit for the pop phenoms.

In Spring 2013, One Direction will begin their sold out World Tour in the U.K., which includes an unprecedented nine shows at London’s O2 Arena.
