Hold on to your seats Grey’s Anatomy fans!! Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) tells us in a new promo for the ninth season of the ABC drama, “If you think you’re prepared for what’s going to happen, you’re not.”

Made up of mostly old footage from the season finale, there’s a snippet of new footage as well in the promo that asks, “Who will survive?”

Who is Celebuzz’s guess for the unlucky doctor?

Our bet is on Dr. Mark Sloan. Earlier this summer, Eric Dane, who plays the steamy doctor on the primetime soap, announced he would be leaving the show. The actor is leaving because of his desire to pursue other opportunities and has been on the show since 2006. It has been reported that he’ll be seen in several episodes of Season 9 to wrap up his storyline.

When we last saw Mark Sloane, he was in rough shape after the plane crash that killed his love, Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh).

Lexie’s older sister Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Derek (Patrick Dempsey), Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), and Cristina (Sandra Oh) were also all on the plane when it went down. When the eighth season ended, their loved ones back at Seattle Grace Mercy West still didn’t know about the disaster.

In addition to Lexie, last season also marked the departure of Teddy (Kim Raver) whose character left to become the chief at a military medical institution.

Given these numerous departures, Seattle Grace will see an influx of new faces when the season begins. Friday Night Lights’ Gauis Charles, Veronica Mars’ Tina Majorino and True Blood’s Camilla Luddington will all be checking in. Though Charles and Majorino’s roles have not yet be clearly defined, Luddington will play a young doctor.

The ninth season of Grey’s Anatomy premieres Sept. 27 at 9 PM on ABC.
