Tony Scott Death: ‘Top Gun’ Director’s Funeral Underway (REPORT)

Tony Scott Dead
The 'Top Gun' director jumps to his death from an L.A. bridge.
Director Tony Scott’s funeral is reportedly underway  at a Los Angeles, Calif. cemetery.

Scott took his own life on Sunday, Aug. 15 in San Pedro. He was 68-years-old.

TMZ is reporting several friends and family are in attendance at the funeral including the Top Gun director’s older brother Ridley Scott, who flew into Los Angeles from London the day after Scott’s death.

Scott was found dead Sunday afternoon after jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge.

While the director left left at least one suicide note, the reason he took his own life remains a mystery, initial reports saying he was suffering from terminal brain cancer have been ruled out.

Readers seeking support and information about suicide prevention can go to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline or call 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
