Anna Faris Welcomes New Baby: It's a Boy!

84th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Maybe Anna Faris’ baby boy can have a play date with Snooki’s newborn, Lorenzo.

Faris, 35, and her husband Chris Pratt, 33, welcomed their first child Jack on Saturday.

“Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are happy to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy Jack,” a rep tells to People magazine.

However, little Jack's arrival was a bit of a surprise for the new parents.

“He arrived earlier than expected and will be spending some time in the NICU," the rep says. "The happy parents thank you for your warm wishes and ask that you honor their privacy during this time."

The couple, who just celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary in July, first met in 2007 on the set of Take Me Home Tonight. The retro comedy, also starring Topher Grace and Teresa Palmer, was released in 2011.

Faris, who starred in The Dictator alongside Sacha Baron Cohen earlier this year, can next be seen in the star-studded comedy compilation, Movie 43, set for a January 2013 release.

Pratt will continue his funnyman duties as Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation, which enters its fifth season in the fall.

In other celebrity baby news, Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi also welcomed a baby boy over the weekend. As Celebuzz reported earlier, Lorenzo Dominic LaValle was born on Sunday morning in New Jersey to proud parents Polizzi and her fiancé Jionni LaValle.
