Lady Gaga Hits Back at Madonna During Born This Way Ball
After the Material Girl's many digs and jabs, Lady Gaga is finally fighting back against Madonna.
While on stage in Helsinki, Finland, Mother Monster flashed her bare behind in front of the cheering crowd at her Born This Way Ball concert on Aug. 28. While doing so, according to The Mirror, Gaga exclaimed, "I don’t give a f**k what people say. We don’t give a f**k. We know the truth."
How was the singer making a dig at the Queen of Pop?
The move was apparently mocking Madonna, who gave her fans a cheeky glimpse at her rear in a lacy thong during a June performance. And, perhaps not so coincidentally, Madge's MDNA album features a track called "I Don't Give A —."
Gaga also took a stab at Madonna by covering her 1989 iconic hit, "Like a Prayer," after the Material Girl has repeatedly belted out Gaga's "Born This Way" on her worldwide tour.
This is just the latest news in the pop superstars' ongoing feud. Just last month, Madonna — who had long criticized Gaga copying her style — scoffed at similarities between "Express Yourself" and "Born This Way."
“I’m a really big fan of ['Born This Way'],” Madonna said in a recent interview on Brazilian television. “And I’m glad that I could help her write it.”
Meanwhile, Madonna had defended her controversial on-stage stunts on Tuesday, just ahead of the North American leg of her MDNA tour. "It's true there is a lot of violence in the beginning of the show and sometimes the use of fake guns — but they are used as metaphors," she wrote. "I do not condone violence or the use of guns."
