Saturday Night Live is set to premiere its 38th season with some major funny in the form of Family Guy creator, Seth MacFarlane. This will be his first time hosting the late night sketch show. Tapped to perform for the premiere on Sept. 15 is rapper Frank Ocean. Also set to host the show this season are Joseph Gordon-Levitt (with musical guest Mumford and Sons) and James Bond himself, Daniel Craig (with musical guest Muse) on Sept. 22 and Oct. 6 respectively. Who will be in the cast of CBS’ The Amazing Race?

An eclectic group of individuals have been chosen for the next season of CBS’ The Amazing Race including a former Megadeth band member, the Fabulous Beekman Boys, and a Chippendale’s dancer. The cast also includes a double amputee snowboarder. In addition, the stakes for the challenging reality show have gone up with a grand prize of $2 million dollars if the team that wins the first leg of the race also wins the second. [CBS]

Excuse us while we do a happy dance as it’s been confirmed that Joss Whedon is heading back to TV as ABC has ordered it’s first Marvel live-action pilot, S.H.I.E.L.D. The show will focus on the agency run by Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson in the film) seen in Whedon’s blockbuster film, The Avengers. His brother Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen will collaborate with Joss on the project as showrunners. [Deadline]

Prepare to get more stylish. Former Rachel Zoe assistant, Brad Goreski will be back on Bravo as the network has picked up his reality show, It’s a Brad Brad World, for a second season. [Bravo]

Castle is to going Comic-Con. The fifth season of the ABC show will feature an episode set at a Comic-Con like convention and has tapped the perfect person to direct it. Jonathan Frakes from Star Trek will get behind the camera for the episode. Frakes previously directed an episode of Castle in Season 2. [TV Line]
