UPDATE 12:42PM: In a tweet posted Thursday afternoon, Adele shot down rumors that she and beau Simon Konecki had gotten married.

"I'm not married...Zzzzzz," she wrote.

Well, so much for that.

After Adele stepped out with a gold band on her ring finger, rumors have swirled that the Grammy-winning singer secretly tied the knot with her beau Simon Konecki.

Now a new source is corroborating the claims, saying the pair — who are expecting their first child together — did indeed get hitched in a hush-hush ceremony.

"They did get married, and I was present," a source close to the star told the Daily Mail. "It was a fabulous occasion."

What else did the alleged wedding guest divulge?

"Adele was dressed in a classic attire," the source explained. "Simon looked very smart and joyous."

News of Adele's rumored nuptials was first reported by Life & Style on Wednesday. A source told the magazine that the couple "managed to keep the baby news a secret for so long that there are rumors they’ve already gotten married, too."

"She’s an old-fashioned girl and can’t wait to be part of a family unit," the source added. "She just wants to focus on the baby and the man she loves."

While this would be Adele's first walk down the aisle, it is the second for Konecki, who has a daughter from his first marriage to stylist Clary Fisher.

Whitney Houston was a tragic victim of her own choices. A great voice, wasted by addiction to drugs, alcohol, and domestic violence. Enough tributes were paid to her from those who knew her. Adele was not a close friend, didn't sing the same genre of music, and owed nothing to Whitney. I think it would have been disingenuous for her to say anything. Whitney chose to be a washed up drug addict, why glorify that!

I don't know the Adele, and her music was okay. But on the night of the Grammy's she could have, at least, acknowledge the passing of one the greatest voices to ever live Whitney Houston. And she didn't, in fact, she acted as if it never happened. Since than, I have been completely turned off by her.
