Shia LaBeouf Laughs Off Lars Von Trier's Controversial 'Nymphomaniac' Role on 'Chelsea Lately' (VIDEO)
Shia LaBeouf is starting a new — and very controversial — chapter in his career.
The former Disney star not only admitted to dropping acid in an upcoming film, but fans were shocked to learn that the man formally known as Louis Stevens will also perform unsimulated sex in Lars von Trier's next project, Nymphomaniac.
However, when late night host Chelsea Handler prodded the 26-year-old actor about the rumors of this apparent live sex scene, LaBeouf played it cool.
Find out what the actor said.
LeBeouf admitted he's not 100 percent sure what will happen in Von Trier's new flick, but anything is possible. "I don’t know what it’s gonna be until I get out there," he revealed on Chelsea Lately. "I know he’s a very dangerous director and I know we’re trying to do something different."
Asked if he had to audition for the part, he jokingly replied, "I sent videotapes of me and my girlfriend having sex and that’s how I got the job."
Recent reports suggest that LaBeouf's girlfriend, Karolyn Pho, isn't very happy about her man's new role. Last week, the couple were spotted having a heated argument on the street in Los Angeles.
This isn't the first time LaBeouf has gotten into hot water for his actions.
The actor recently slammed the major studio system, telling The Hollywood Reporter, "[They] give you the money, then get on a plane and come to the set and stick a finger up your a** and chase you around for five months."
LaBeouf, who’s starred in blockbusters such as Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skulls in the past, also went full frontal for Sigur Ros' "Fjogur Piano" music video earlier this year.
