'Leap Year' Season Finale
The web series reunites stars Steven Weber and Craig Bierko.
Not only are more and more of us watching our television programs online, but also the medium is definitely becoming the place for notable original series of its own.

Celebuzz’s picks below include series that are produced by the likes of Twilight and Nurse Jackie actor Peter Facinelli, indie filmmaker Jon Marcus (Party Monster) and a new series from a network that’s currently No. 1 on YouTube for scripted programming.

Here are Celebuzz’s picks for what’s buzzing online.

The Hillywood Show
From Facinelli’s production company, A7sle Films, comedians and sisters Hilly and Hannah Hindi bring their formidable comedic, acting and directing talents to this film parody and pop culture series. Starting out on YouTube (and famous for attracting hundreds of thousands of views to their Twilight parody), Facinelli and producing partner Rob DeFranco entered into a production deal with the sisters and set them up on the YouTube channel, Ish. The Hillywood Show is like looking into the workings of the Hindi sisters’ brains and seeing their smart, hilarious and totally unconventional take on pop culture.

Watch an episode above in which they combine the Harry Potter series with So You Think You Can Dance to hilarious effect.

Hunting Season
Who wouldn’t want to start a blog, win over hundreds of thousands of readers, then inspire a novel, and now a web series? That’s the true story behind Hunting Season, a series about a blogger and his misadventures in the world of gay New York City twenty-somethings. From the producer of Macaulay Culkin-starrer Party Monster, Hunting Season is a fun, rompy, sexually charged and very truthful look at dating in a metropolis.

Hunting Season debuts on Sept. 12 at www.HuntingSeason.tv. Watch the trailer below.

Vanessa & Jan
The WIGS channel – co-created by Jon Avnet (Black Swan, Fried Green Tomatoes) is doing some very provocative things for an online network, including using only female leads, and it’s working out for them. Currently, it’s the No. 1 scripted channel on YouTube. Vanessa & Jan is its new series focusing on speed dating and stars The Social Network’s Caitlin Gerard and The Lizzie Bennet Diaries star Laura Spencer as friends who inadvertently become opponents during a round of speed dating. Did we mention the series co-stars Political Animals star James Wolk, Justified’s Walton Goggins and Laurence Fishburne’s son, Langston Fishburne.

Vanessa & Jan premieres Monday on WIGS. Watch a teaser for the series below after the series Rochelle starring Rosanna Arquette.
