In August, the Emmy-winner announced that the would be temporarily leaving the show to recover, telling Celebuzz, “It is with deep regret [that I have] to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife at this time."

“(I’m) getting better slowly and thank you everyone for your concern,” she added.

Chenoweth booked a recurring role in June as a reporter investigating Peter Florrick's (played by Sex and the City star Chris Noth) campaign, though the network has yet to say if her character's involvement in the story will be cut down due to her injury.
