Matt Damon Drops $15M on Mansion Down the Street From Ben Affleck's Home -- Take a Peek Inside (PHOTOS)

Matt Damon's character in We Bought a Zoo may have splurged on an animal sanctuary, but it's nothing compared to the star's real-life $15 million mansion.

The 41-year-old actor and his wife Luciana Barroso recently dropped big bucks on a new home located in the upscale Pacific Palisades community near Los Angeles.

The lavish estate, which boasts six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, includes a koi pond and swimming pool in the backyard -- perfect for entertaining the couple's four daughters and guests.

Best of all, Damon won't be the only Oscar winner in the neighborhood.

Ben Affleck, the actor's childhood pal, also owns a home on the very same street.

The two Cambridge, Mass., naives shot to to superstardom after winning Best Original Screenplay at the 1997 Academy Awards for Good Will Hunting.

Damon's new neighborhood also plays home to a host of Hollywood A-listers including Hilary Swank and Kate Hudson.

You could definitely see your skills in the paintings you write. The world hopes for more passionate writers like you who aren't afraid to say how they believe. At all times go after your heart.

Wow...I feel like I visited them and now I feel really 'dirt poor' unlike before when I thought of myself as just 'poor'...I can see why he paid that much but he still paid way too much (not that it is any of my business) I guess because of the location and the size. I liked his/her traditional modern taste but I would have done a better job then their Interior Designer did :) and he needs some of my Art on the bare walls he he. If I was his girlfriend he'd make me throw all my weird things out for sure! The girl's bedroom was so cute with the stuffed animals. There weren't enough chairs for them all to sit at the dinning table though I've noticed and Matt plays the guitar for real (other then Sarah Silverman) sorry to mention? Awesome house though Matt I like you so much enjoy and peace & love!
