The fall TV season is almost upon us and the networks are gearing up to unleash their new comedies and dramas for your viewing pleasure.

From shows like Nashville, The Mob Doctor, and The Mindy Project, which feature former cast members of Friday Night Lights and The Office to the high-octane action-packed ride of Last Resort, from Shawn Ryan, there is some great TV coming your way.

To get you and your DVRs ready for the new season, Celebuzz has picked our Top 10 most anticipated new shows of fall 2012.

Our favorite show of the new season has to be Nashville. Starring Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, the series is about a country super star about to be dethroned by her predecessor.

Britton stars as Rayna James, the aforementioned superstar, who is forced to go on tour with pop-country starlet Juliette Barnes (Panettiere) to prevent her label from canceling her tour. Drama ensues as the seeds for love triangles are planted, Barnes throws some wicked attitude, and Rayna’s father (Powers Booth) encourages her husband to run for office. Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen also star as singer/songwriters who make the original music in this pilot a sure to be iTunes hit.
