Sorry Finchel fans, but things aren’t looking good for Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele) this season. Glee’s fourth season is shaking things up — starting with McKinley’s Prom King and Queen.
We already knew that Brody Weston (Dean Geyer), a hunky junior at NYADA who Rachel takes a certain interest in, was going to be trouble, but based off Ryan Murphy’s latest tweets, it looks like the two will be getting very close at NYADA.
But what can we expect from Rachel and Brody’s (Brachel?) blossoming relationship?
Murphy tweeted that Rachel and Brody will be singing Demi Lovato’s “Give Your Heart a Break” in the beginning of Season 4.
”He’s the only guy Finn really has to compete with for Rachel,” Michele said during a recent Glee behind-the-scenes promo. “I’ve already gotten a couple of tweets from Glee fans … from Finn fans!” Geyer added.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that Finn is completely out of the picture.
“Rachel, in the first few episodes, is really always thinking about Finn. She is all about Finn. That’s where her head is at,” Michele told E! Online. “And this guy Brody just kind of keeps sort of popping up a little bit. He’s interested, so we’ll see where it goes.”
It might go further than Finchel fans want it to. But Rachel and Finn’s future as a couple isn’t the only relationship in danger this season. TV Line recently chatted with Glee executive producer Brad Falchuk, who revealed that none of Glee couples are safe in Season 4. “All of the core relationships are tested,” he said, previewing the fourth episode in the season, titled “The Break-Up.”
Glee Season 4 premieres Thursday, Sept. 13 at 9 PM on FOX.
