TV Buzz: 'Beverly Hills Cop' Pilot Gets Greenlight; 'Basketball Wives' Evelyn Lozada Appearing on OWN
The Beverly Hills Cop movie franchise may be continuing on your TV next fall. From producers Eddie Murphy and Shawn Ryan, the series has been given a pilot commitment by CBS. Murphy, who starred as Axel Foley in the films, will star in the pilot and would likely maintain a recurring role should the series get picked up. The show would focus on Axel’s son, Aaron, and his adventures as an officer for the Beverly Hills PD. [Deadline]
When will FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia premiere?
FX has already announced that the second season of American Horror Story: Asylum will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 17 and on Tuesday they've released the premiere dates for the rest of their fall lineup. FX comedies - The League, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and BrandX with Russell Brand - will all premiere on Thursday, Oct. 11. Sons of Anarchy will be the first series out of the gate when it premieres this fall on Tuesday, Sept. 11. [FX]
Evelyn Lozada will work through the recent issues surrounding her relationship with ex-husband Chad Johnson on the series premiere of Iyanla: Fix My Life on the OWN network. The Basketball Wives star discussed her pain, anger and insecurities both before and after the dissolution of her marriage with host Iyanla Vanzant. Their dramatic conversations will air in two installments on Saturday, Sept. 15 and 22 at 10 PM on OWN. [OWN]
The ratings for Sunday’s midseason finale of AMC’s Breaking Bad were through the roof. The hit show, which has gained viewers in each of its five seasons showed amazing growth with 47 percent more people catching the cliffhanger episode than last season’s finale.
