Britney Spears and her fiancé Jason Trawick came together for a new interview with ELLE magazine, revealing new details about their laid-back home life.

The star, who has been frequently criticized for her style, admits that she prefers comfort over style at home despite the pressure to look perfect all the time.

“I love my jeans and my sweats – I’m really just a tomboy at heart,” she says, adding, “I’m not a believer in that, you know?”

Still, she’s not immune to the pressure to look perfect all the time, admitting it’s hard for her to “be makeup and hair ready” every time she steps out of her house.

And the pop star admits regretting some of her fashion choices…

“When you do wear those sweats, you’re like ‘Oh God, I should step it up a notch.”

While working mom doesn’t have time to focus as much on her appearance, between juggling her career as a judge on X-Factor, love life with her beau Trawick, and caring for her two boys, Sean Preston, 7, and Jayden James, 6, she still manages to step it up for the red carpet. In fact, Spears’ style has really matured since becoming a mom.

Spears now favors sexy yet sophisticated styles that are fresh yet easy. Of course it doesn’t hurt that she’s been radiating a natural glow since her former agent, Jason Trawick, proposed in December 2011.

Surprisingly, Trawick told the magazine that Spears was the one to initiate their romance.

“It was kind of one of those things where she moved, like, turned around, so we were face-to-face and then …” Trawick began gushing before he was interrupted by Spears who was more shy about dishing the details of their relationship.

Luckily, the pair seems to have found the secret to making it work in the limelight.

Spears told ELLE, “I guess I’ve been under the microscope so long that I don’t even pay attention to the nonsense anymore,” adding, “I gave up getting upset about things people make up about me a long time ago.”
