Jessica Simpson: 'My Body Is Not Bouncing Back' Post Pregnancy

Jessica Turns 32!
Take a look at her body evolution. Read More »

More than three months after giving birth, Jessica Simpson is still struggling to slim down her post-baby body. And she knows exactly why.

"I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant," Simpson, 32 — who welcomed daughter Maxwell Drew on May 1 with fiance Eric Johnson — told USA Today. "I wanted to enjoy it."

But now the singer-actress-fashion-designer is paying the price.

"I didn't realize [the weight] didn't all come off with the baby," explained Simpson.

The Weight Watchers spokeswoman is sticking to a strict diet — forgoing her favorite comfort food, mac and cheese — and hardcore cardio sweat sessions. Simpson also takes time off from mommy duty to work with trainer to the stars Harley Pasternak four or five times a week.

While she has shed pounds each week, her waistline isn't where she'd like it to be. Still, Simpson will begin appearing in ads for the famous weight-loss program next week.

"I'm not a supermodel," admits Simpson. "My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I'm just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiance and herself."

Do you think Simpson will get her body back? Weigh in below.

I didn't realize that if I ate everything in sight while I was pregnant it wouldn't magically disappear after I had the baby. Sounds like Jessica Simpson logic.

Not one person, not even her doctor told Jessica that she was not going to lose all the weight she gained when she gave birth? Please....

Listen, of course she isn't bouncing back after three months, that just insane. It will take a while to loose the weight, but she has the advantages of being a spokesperson for a weight loss company, can afford a personal trainer. but one thing i disagree with is the fact that she overindulged, just because you are pregnant doesn't mean you eat for 5 or 6, you need to watch whats going in your body. I am not the healthiest eater , but when i was pregnant i was concious of what i was eating. I tried to eat healthier, not dieting but healthier choices. she is not a super model, and neither am i she should cut herself some slack and let it take time.

She admitted many times her eating was out of control during pregnacy!

I could have cared less how much she gained/lost SHE made it a big deal by signing a multi-million dollar contract with weight watchers. Weight watchers stakes itself on being a diet plan ANYONE can do with a change in thinking about what you eat. Jessica Simpson is using a CELEBRITY PERSONAL TRAINER... Joanne Woodward probably didn't make a multi million dollar deal with a weight loss company, my point is she should have just let it happen naturally and not put undue pressure on herself when there are already SO many pressures and the natural "baby blues" that come with having your first child. However, if you are saying she only gained 10 pounds pre pregnancy you are dreaming... She had clearly put on like 30-40 pounds from Daisy Duke, which is FINE.. Her body in that role was not her natural shape, she was petite before but that was ridiculous she even said she was basically eating only steamed chicken and veggies and working out seven days a week. That isn't a life, that's just ridiculous!

oh shut up people she gained excessive weight from legitament complications with her pregnancy and it looked even more because she had gained about 10lbs before she conceived from planning her wedding which is perfectly normal. it took 8-9 months to gain the weight so it should take that long to lose it which would be January/February it's not letting yourself go when there are complications invovled and 120 prior ot conception plus 70 during pregnancy is 190 do your math. she only looked so huge because she's short Joanne Woodward was the same when she had each of her daughters in the late 1950's to mid 1960's she gained the most 73lbs with her first daughter admitted by herself later partly triggered by depression after a previous loss and the baby as 10lbs 14oz at birth and nobody dared through nasty commets her way.

Good luck she really really let her self go. She probably weighed over 200 + lbs. and age doesn't help much either.

She had been gaining weight before she got pregnant. I mean, end of the day who cares? She shouldn't have agreed to do this weight watchers thing for millions of dollars. It's not going to motivate anyone to do weight watchers because she is also being trained by a celebrity trainer, how many Mrs. Jones at home struggling to lose baby weight and have to go back to REAL jobs, who don't have a stay at home fiance, and most likely a live in nanny can ALSO hire a personal trainer who trains Jessica Alba. Weight Watchers really shot themself in the foot with this one. Why would anyone join a diet program where your spokesperson has not lost that much weight, and has a personal trainer and I am sure a personal cook doing all the really hard work that normal people would have to find the time to do. I hope Jessica Simpson just goes and does the family thing and fades out of the spotlight. She has a ton of money, can still put out clothes and shoes, and nobody would care how much you weighed. Spend more time with your family and less time worrying what middle America thinks about you.

You are only soposed to eat about 300 more calories a day when you are pregnat after the first trimester. Of course she is having trouble bouncing back. That was not baby weight!
