Listen whoever-you-are, Taylor Swift never, ever wants to get back together with you, so you might want to stop calling, texting and wearing those Ray-Ban sunglasses — because the pop princess has called you out once and for all.
The 22-year-old superstar closed the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards with a performance that truly had the entire arena singing, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
But the singer also surprised the VMA crowd toward the end of her performance. What did she do?
Swift, rocking a red-and-white striped shirt, black short-shorts and bright red lipstick, brought the crowd to its feet as she bounced around stage with her backup dancers — and then stage-dived into the eager crowd. It was a common theme of the night — just ask fellow VMA performer Lil’ Wayne.
Earlier on the red carpet, Swift took a page out of Gwyneth Paltrow’s book and stunned in a monochromatic pantsuit.
