‘Stand Up To Cancer’: 20 Celebs Who Beat the Disease (GALLERY)
The telethon, which will be aired commercial-free simultaneously across 21 channels, boasts an extra number of stars this year as A-listers Gwyneth Paltrow, Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone, Halle Berry, Tom Hanks and Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara and Eric Stonestreet are set to join the telecast.
However, those aren’t the only famous faces who’s challenged cancer.
Cyclist Lance Armstrong famously overcame his battle with testicular cancer in 1996 and went on to win seven Tour de France titles. The athlete even set up a foundation, Livestrong, to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
