Adele Lends Her Booming Vocals to James Bond Theme Song (REPORT)
Will Adele belt out the brand-new theme song for the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall?
The 007 film team is keeping the mission top secret, but the Grammy-winning pop star was spotted emerging from England's iconic Abbey Road studios — where big-time composer Thomas Newman, who's worked on scores for films like American Beauty and Shawshank Redemption, is producing the Skyfall soundtrack — according to The Sun.
And if Adele indeed gets the gig, it wouldn't come as a complete surprise.
Just year year, the "Someone Like You" singer — who is expecting her first child with fiancé Simon Konecki — hinted that she would be lending her booming voice for a Bond tune in an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, giggling as the host serenaded her with the spy saga's opening theme.
And "there will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year," Adele revealed to French radio station NRJ, according to Spinner. If Adele is in fact in the studio for Bond, the recording would mark her first new material since the award-winning 21.
Even if the filmmakers keep secret who's singing the closing-credits track, fans will find out soon enough: Daniel Craig's third run in the iconic role — and the 23rd James Bond film — will hit the big screen on Nov. 9.
