Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Team Up With Sephora to Launch ‘Elizabeth and James’ Fragrance (GALLERY)

The Olsen empire is growing yet again. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, 26, are expanding their Elizabeth and James fashion line by releasing the brand’s first fragrance in March 2013. The mini moguls will pair up with beauty depot Sephora to  launch the new fragrance, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

While this will be the designing duo’s first full-fledged fragrance, it isn’t their first foray into the world of scents — the Olsen twins’ empire includes a line of body sprays aimed at the tween market.

So what can we expect from the Olsen’s first scent?

Confirming the collaboration, Senior Vice President of Sephora Originals, Michael McGeever, said, “we look forward to bringing the modern perspective and fashion philosophy of Elizabeth and James designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to life with this prestige fragrance.”

While the fragrance’s name and details of the notes it will contain have yet to be released, the Elizabeth and James line — named after the twins’ famous little sister, Elizabeth, and older brother, Trent — has a fresh, cool feel.

Compared to their sophisticated, high-end line, The Row — which the twins just showed at New York Fashion Week — Elizabeth and James attracts a younger downtown crowd. So we expect a light, fresh scent geared toward the same audience as their contemporary line,  which the designers have characterized as  “a world of pure, soft and delicate lightness.”

While you’ll have to wait until the spring to sample the scent, we have no doubt that the latest addition to their ever-expanding empire — which includes multiple fashion and accessories lines, will be a hit with their fans.
