Night five of blind auditions on NBC’s The Voice belonged to Cee Lo Green. The Goodie Mob front man added four performers to his already stacked team and helped ensure Blake Shelton ended the episode empty handed.

While the “Forget You” singer picked up classical singer Ben Taub, the smooth Todd Kessler, and country gal Emily Earle, it was really 40-year-old Mycle Wastman who caught our eye. Not only did Wastman perform one of our favorite songs, Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” but also he showed amazing range and tone throughout the entire performance.

So what did the judges have to say about his peformance?

Though Christina Aguilera didn’t push her button, Cee Lo had to fight both Adam Levine and Shelton for the cool crooner.

Levine admitted (like us) to have a weakness for the song but added, “When I turned around I did not expect you to be you…and I’m so happy that you’re you because it’s so different.“ While Shelton told him, “You’re the best vocalist that we have heard today."

Cee Lo put in a valiant effort to win Wastman telling him that, “he is the most excited about you than anyone else today.” Laying it on thick, he also said, “Right here, right now in 2012, right this very moment, nobody does soul music better than Cee Lo Green.” Apparently Wastman agreed as he chose him for his coach.

Also grabbing our interest on Tuesday’s auditions was former racecar driver Benji. Rocking out to “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” the singer ended with a killer scream, which impressed Levine and Green so much they had “happy feet.” Levine even told the singer he thinks he could win it all. With that critique, it appears his choice was made as he selected Team Adam.

The other performer who grabbed a spot on Levine’s team was NYU dropout Collin McLoughlin who performed a great version of “Wild, Wild World.” Meanwhile Team Christina picked up 17-year-old Joselyn Rivera who was once prescribed music from a doctor to help her come out of her shell.

Team Blake was unable to pick up any performers on Tuesday night despite the country singer’s best efforts. He even joked with Rivera that Aguilera was abusive to her contestants in an effort to get her to sway his way.

At the end of the episode, Blake remarked that he was “feeling a bit losery when it comes to the ratio between button pushes and team members I have. I think I need to get a little more cutthroat from this point forward.”

We look forward to it Blake!

At the end of week two, the teams stand as such:

Team Adam – Benji, Collin McLoughlin, Alessandra Guerico, Brian Scartocci, Melanie Martinez, Adana Duru, Loren Allred, Nicole Nelson, Samuel Mouton, Bryan Keith, Joe Kirkland
