As far as Lady Gaga is concerned, the Pope is not the be-all-end-all of opinions.

The pop star is slamming Pope Benedict XVI's stance on gay marriage, declaring that his conviction on the religious-charged matter of homosexuality "does not matter."

The comment comes after the pope spoke out on the matter on Friday. According to The Sun, he told French bishops: "Marriage and the family are institutions that must be promoted and defended from every possible misrepresentation of their true nature, since whatever is injurious to them is injurious to society itself."

What did Gaga say to that?

"What the Pope thinks of being gay does not matter to the world,” the chart-topping singing said on French radio station Europe 1, according to The Sun. "It matters to the people who like the Pope and follow the Pope. It is not a reflection of all religious people."

And the outspoken, open-minded Gaga — a longtime gay-rights activist — was quick to defend same-sex couples' right to wed.

"It seems to me that gay marriage is something that is going to happen and it must happen," she explained. "We are not equal and we will be only if we allow everyone to love freely."

"This is not what Christians believe, those who believe in something, that have a religion," she clarified. "It is the point of view of one person."

I think the pope is just being narrow-minded, and not thinking that not all religious people are against gay marriage and gay equality. There are some individuals who did have a hard time coming out as being gay, but yet still followed a religion. Or I have some religious friends who have gay friends. It's just the pope trying to reinforce an opinion which isn't widely accepted. I'm 100% with Gaga on this, I support LGBT and think it doesn't matter what ever sexuality you are, it's your life and you are yourself. So, people who give a fuck about and judge people upon their sexuality just need to get on with their lives, instead of being ignorant.

Anybody who supports women's rights today doesn’t care about the kind of world we are building for our grand children and great grandchildren. If we persist with this abomination, their world would be one of chaos and confusion with social unrest and civil wars pitting men against women. For sure enough, the male dominated community would some day have to retaliate decisively and violently in order to salvage what’s left of their world and normal way of life. At the rate that society is being forced to capitulate to the demands of women's rights, it is clearly evident that in time the sanctity of the patriarchal household as we know it would be lost and men would be driven to desperation out of fear. Please, United Nations, suffragettes, and all who are in strong support of women's rights, take all of the above into consideration. Realize that there is no way on earth that you will eventually get the the vote, the right to own property or the freedom to live your own life and make your own decisions. The sight of women openly expressing a desire to make political and personal choices will always be a repulsive and disgusting sight to any man. Tolerance of this sort of behavior on a minimal scale is one thing __one can deal with that__ but having it shoved in your face at every turn and at every level of your daily life will not be an easy thing for the menfolk to tolerate. And this is the world that the women and their supporters seem hell-bent to create for us. No way can this be acceptable ! No way ! I think the concept of women's rights must be disbanded all together. There must be no such thing as a woman with the ability, let alone the right, to vote. All women with masculine aspirations must by law undergo a re-education course so that they know their place. This way society can safely adopt the ‘meant to be seen, not heard’ policy and everybody can just go about their business without causing any strife.

Anybody who supports gay marriage today doesn’t care about the kind of world we are building for our grand children and great grandchildren. If we persist with this abomination, their world would be one of chaos and confusion with social unrest and civil wars pitting gays against straights. For sure enough, the straight community would some day have to retaliate decisively and violently in order to salvage what’s left of their world and normal way of life. At the rate that society is being forced to capitulate to the demands of gay-rights, it is clearly evident that in time the sanctity of marriage as we know it would be lost and straight people would be driven to desperation out of fear. Please, Lady Gaga, President Obama, and all who are in strong support of gay marriage, take all of the above into consideration. Realize that there is no way on earth that you will eventually get the straight community to whole-heartedly accept gay marriage and the homosexual lifestyle. The sight of two men openly expressing sexual love for each other will always be a repulsive and disgusting sight to any straight man or woman. Tolerance of this sort of behavior on a minimal scale is one thing__one can deal with that__but having it shoved in your face at every turn and at every level of your daily life will not be an easy thing for the straight community to tolerate. And this is the world that the gay community and their supporters seem hell-bent to create for us. No way can this be acceptable ! No way ! I think the concept of the gay lifestyle must be disbanded all together. There must be no such thing as a gay couple. All men with feminine tendencies must by law undergo a sex-change before marriage. Likewise women with masculine tendencies. This way society can safely adopt the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy and everybody can just go about their business without causing any strife.

Completely agree with her. What makes the Pope's opinion so important?

I didn't hear much good about Gaga's new scent. It smells boring and has little longevity.
