Ellie Goulding Premieres Poignant 'I Know You Care' Video, Starring Dakota Fanning as a Terminally Ill Teen (VIDEO)

Ellie Goulding's latest music video could best be summed up in three syllables: Tear-jerker.

The British singer is currently on the rise in America. With her breakout U.S. hit "Lights" is still riding high on the Billboard charts, Goulding is gearing up for the release of her anticipated sophomore album, Halcyon.

She recently released a video for a ballad from her sophomore album — "I Know You Care" — featuring scenes from the upcoming flick, Now is Good, starring Dakota Fanning as a terminally ill teenager crossing items off her bucket list. The film also stars Jeremy Irvine as the boy who falls in love with her.

Goulding's released her latest single, "Anything Could Happen," earlier this month, following the recent success of her 2011 single "Lights," which is currently No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Unlike "Anything Could Happen," Goulding's "I Know You Care" is a sorrowful ballad with a simple, yet haunting melody.

"Yeah I know you care/ I see it in the way you stare/ As if there was trouble ahead and you knew it/ I'll be saving myself from the ruin," Goulding sings.

Halcyon hits stores October 9. Check out more of Ellie Goulding's lyrics at DirectLyrics.com.
