Hilary Duff Celebrates 25th Birthday: Her Career Evolution (GALLERY)

Who would have guessed that little Lizzie McGuire would be married and a mom by age 25?

Hilary Duff celebrates  her quarter century birthday on Friday, but the singer-actress isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Since catching her big break as the lead character in Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire, Duff has blazed the Billboard charts, charmed in made-for-TV movies, starred in big-screen romcoms and even romanced Penn Badgley in Gossip Girl.

Then in 2010, Duff took a break from her fast-track career to star a family. After tying the knot with former hockey player Mike Comrie, Duff welcomed son Luca in March of this year.

But now the former Disney darling is setting her sights on a comeback.

Duff is readying to return to where it all began — on the small screen.

In August, Duff inked a one-year talent and development deal with 20th Century Fox to produce and star in a new half-hour comedy show. “Ok it’s official!” she tweeted at the time. “Very excited about my development deal with 20th century fox!! t.v. here I come! :)”

And there may even be new music in the works. According to reports, Duff was spotted in a recording studio in July, perhaps prepping a follow up to her 2007 album, Dignity.

So in honor of her 25th birthday, Celebuzz is looking back at Duff’s career evolution.

What do you think was her high point? Sound off in the comments.
