Just look at the 58-year-old weatherman’s Twitter and Instagram feeds, which blew up on Friday night thanks to several photos of Hova performing onstage.
The show, the first of eight sold out gigs, marked the official opening of Barclays Center, the brand-new home of the Brooklyn Nets, which is part-owned by Jay-Z.
Jay-Z performed his greatest hits, including “Big Pimpin,” “99 Problems” and “Heart of the City.” The 42-year-old rapper also welcomed guest Big Daddy Kane and paid tribute to Notorious B.I.G. through a high-tech video presentation.
Which celebs came out to support Jay-Z on his opening night?
Friday’s show brought out the likes of Magic Johnson, Star Jones, Mario Batali and a slew of Brooklyn Nets players like Carleton Scott, Josh Childress and Stephen Dennis.
Meanwhile Beyonce hung out at the exclusive D’USSE VIP Lounge, where Jay-Z was spotted mingling with Pharell Williams before the show.
Hova will be back onstage Saturday night to continue with show number two. His only break during this eight-show run will be on Tuesday.
