What’s in a name? Celebuzz reveals the reason why Drew Barrymore has had a soft spot for the name Olive for over a decade.
The actress and her new husband Will Kopelman welcomed their daughter, Olive, on Sept. 26, and the happy couple announced the baby was “healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family.”

Flower Films, Barrymore’s production company, debuted its first project entitled Olive, the Other Reindeer – an Emmy-nominated TV short from 1999 -- that starred Barrymore as the voice of the title character, Olive.
Director Steve Moore reveals to Celebuzz why the Charlie's Angels star has such an affinity for the cute moniker.
“Drew really loved doing the part – she was perfect for it,” he gushed, adding the actress has “a special place in her heart” for the name.
And Moore couldn't be happier for the superstar.
“I wish her and Olive the best," he said.
Barrymore, 37, has clearly given her new baby girl’s name a lot of thought -- and what a better way to pay homage to her first film in the producer’s chair.
