Trend: Black & White
The classic color combo is making a comeback!
What’s black and white and black and white all over? Just about every stylish star we’ve seen recently.

Jessica Alba, Pippa Middleton and Kristin Cavallari are the latest celebs to jump on the black-and-white trend.

Though monochromatic dressing isn’t exactly new, the chic color combo is especially hot in Tinsletown right now: After dominating the ready-to-wear runways for several seasons without signs of abetting, the monochromatic look has become a celeb staple both on and off the red carpet.

And as some of Tinsletown’s most stylish stars are proving, this versatile color combo adds instant sophistication to any look.

How are celebs breathing fresh life into this streamlined pairing?

Kate Hudson and Kim Kardashian both gave black-and-white ensembles a fresh update by pairing them with of-the-moment silhouettes. Both stars looked ultra sophisticated in streamlined suits with tuxedo-style jackets. Sexy strappy sandals gave Kardashian’s classic black skirt suit and white blouse a cool edge, while Hudson made her new go-to white pantsuit feel completely new with black tuxedo accents and a lace cami at the Glee premiere.

For a more fashion-forward look, pair the combo with another of the season’s big trends: Heidi Klum took a fashion risk in a sporty black jumpsuit with white track stripes, while Olivia Wilde did the color-blocking thing in a black-and-white curve-hugging dress for a slimming effect.

But the great thing about this look is it looks just as cool with pieces you probably already own: Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham kept it simple and streamlined in black tailored pants and white tops.
